Elevator Pitch Tool

What if…

we had an interactive moderator during pitch sessions who would record a pitch title, keep an eye on the time and calculate a score from the participants’ feedback?

Problem

If you have recurring pitch sessions where participants are invited to present ideas, discuss and rate then you know how important a well defined framework and structure is to keep track on the ideas. Otherwise you quickly lose track of the details and the overall rating of each idea unless you manually write a protocol.

Solution

In software engineering we tend to automate everything so why not introduce an automated pitch meeting assistant! It guides through the agenda, records the title of a given pitch and calculates an average score of the given ratings. How about a slideshow of successfully implemented ideas when the tool is inactive?

Challenges

The solution is a straight forward web application. Of course we needed to make sure that a large array of user end-devices can participate and that the state of the council is synchronized with only small delays.
